RULE FOUR POLICY CHANGES! (aka the Great AU Thaw)

I have some exciting news, I'm here to announce that we are changing our policies in regards to the fourth rule of the group. If you don't know what I'm talking about, let me give you a reminder:

4. All stories are canon to the main one. That means no AUs, crossovers, 'what if' scenarios, Pokémon on Mars, Natutos, extra Energy Channelers running around in Brandon's timeframe, or anything along those lines. If you do want to use these ideas, ensure they are NON-CANON.

There are several problems I have with this rule. first of all I feel it was being pushed way too hard and restricting ideas and stories that honestly were perfectly fine. Secondly there is the double standard of allowing stories like Broken Ground in and the losing contest entries. Third, this restriction is what drives people to other groups or makes them feel like their work is under fire, which I do not want. The original intent of the rule was to ensure that people don't go off and do their own thing and to remain in-canon with the Pokeumans universe. But I realized that we can allow for alternate universes and non canon stories of certain contexts. It is for these reasons the following changes have been made regarding AU and NC stories.

-AUs and NC stories must not tamper with the foundation of the universe; this means the Legendary and Mythical rules are still in effect, this also means your character cannot become an OP god with Mary Sue powers, reveal the existence of Pokemon to the outside world, destroy a country or state (like taking down ISIS) etc. etc. This also means crossovers are still banned, as they contain fictional characters.

-AU and NC stories must be described as an AU or NC in the description

-You may AU and NC to write about situations or scenarios that do not happen in the canon universe but could happen; such as a weapon or virus and its effects or have two characters who cannot be in the same time interacting with each other

-And finally the events of AUs and NCs may not be used or referenced in future works as canon events

I don't really expect anything to change, but I hope this will give you guys more creative freedom to expand on your ideas and bring more variety to Pokeumans.
