I had to think about it but I remember very clearly now... Random Browsing.  I was searching for pictures of Pokémon and found one that was colored by that Riolu fellow (Aura-Bearer) and that led me to other works that he had favorited.  From there, I found my way into the Pokéuman stories and got sucked in.  I've been lurking ever since.
