Secret Santa IV

So, it’s that time of year again where Christmas music is constantly playing and everyone is in the Holiday spirit, and as such we’ve done this three years in a row it wouldn’t feel right if we didn’t. So, Secret Santa is back!

So, for any new members, our group traditionally has a Secret Santa starting around the last week of November/first week of December. Members of the group who wish to participate will submit a “wish list” note to the group (NOT to admins, to the group). Then, we admins will randomize who gets who’s wish list (do not worry, you will not get your own). Members will then create a story involving at least one item from the list. Then, you’ll post your gift to the group including for whom the gift is for. Quite simple!

Now, for the rules:

Gifts will be either a written submission of some kind, or a drawing, graphical art, or something of that nature.

Story gifts have a minimum word count of 1000. Things like poems and such short works are exempt from that.

Don’t tell anyone who you got. It’s supposed to be a surprise.

As we have some younger people here, and everybody has different tastes, we ask that people be respectful with the gifts they make.   Please avoid making anything too vulgar, graphic, or otherwise offensive.  Anything made should be PG-13 at most.

And as this is the Pokeumans Secret Santa, all the gifts need to be Pokeumans related. The gift must be something that would be allowed into the group were it not a part of the Santa.

On your wish list you should have no more and no less than THREE wishes. Please remember, since this is SECRET Santa, these wishes are to be limited to core ideas, scenarios, settings, etcetera. Try and keep these wishes vague enough that someone could create a story or artwork.

Also, your wishes will scale from easy to hard. For example:

An easy whish would be as follows: High School Pokeuman Christmas party.

Medium: A mountain top duel

Hard: A base in China uncovers a shocking truth

**You may only request an inclusion of one of your characters from a previous work on a Hard whish. You may not request the inclusion of one of your characters from a previous work on a Easy or Medium wish. This is to prevent people from having to comb through chapters upon chapters to get a character’s backstory **

While these do not have to be Christmas themed or even set at Christmas, the wishes and submissions will be submitted to the group and thus MUST BE POKEUMAN RELATED

When submitting your work, please include "Secret Santa IV" in the title, so that we can immediately tell that your work is for the Santa and not something else

PLEASE follow these rules. The last thing you want to do is ruin Christmas. Even the Grinch wasn’t evil enough to ruin Christmas.

DEADLINES

Indeed, Christmas is just around the corner, so keep that in mind before you commit to this. You have till December 8th to enter and till January 10th to submit your gift. Now, we know unexpected things come up, so if you cannot meet the deadline please contact the group via note. We will have back up Santas for such an occasion. Failure to contact the group and submit on time will result in a strike. Christmas is serious people.
